Booking Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions govern your access to and use of this website (the “Site”) and any services, information, materials, or features available through it, as provided by Untold DC Tours (“we,” “our,” or “the Company”). By accessing or using this Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of any changes to these terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Use at any time, at our sole discretion. It is your responsibility to periodically review this page for the latest version.

 

By booking a tour with Untold DC Tours, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions, which form a legally binding agreement between you and Untold DC Tours.

 

1. Pricing and Payment

All tours are offered at a fixed price per group.Full payment is required at the time of booking.Pricing is subject to change, but confirmed bookings will not be affected.Upon successful completion of your booking, you will receive an email confirmation with the tour details and a receipt of payment.

 

2. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancel 48 hours or more before your scheduled tour to receive a full refund. No refund will be issued for cancellations within 48 hours of your scheduled tour. If you fail to show up for your tour, you forfeit the entire fee, regardless of the cancellation policy. Refunds (when applicable) are issued to the original payment method.Travel insurance is recommended if cancellation risk is a concern.

 

3. Rescheduling Policy

You may reschedule your tour once, based on availability. A $45 rebooking fee applies. Rescheduling is not permitted within 24 hours of your tour start time.

 

4. Tour Availability

Tours run daily on a set schedule, unless an alternate time is confirmed in writing by both parties. No minimum number of participants is required per tour, as each booking is for one private group.

 

5. Participant Eligibility

Minimum participant age is 3 years.Parents must provide appropriate car seats for children as required by law. Guests must be able to enter and exit an SUV independently. Participants must be capable of walking less than one mile during the tour.

 

6. Force Majeure

We may cancel, reschedule, or adjust tours in the event of unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather

  • Government shutdowns

  • Road closures or public transportation disruptions

  • Natural disasters

  • Public health emergencies

  • Acts of terrorism or civil disorder

 

If we cannot provide the tour under such conditions, we will issue a full refund or offer to reschedule.

 

7. Company-Initiated Modifications

Untold DC Tours reserves the right to cancel or modify a tour at its discretion for operational reasons such as:

  • Vehicle malfunction

  • Tour guide illness

  • Unavailability

  • Safety or legal concerns

 

In these cases, you will receive a full refund if the tour cannot proceed.

 

8. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service or remove any guest from a tour at our sole discretion if: The guest is intoxicated, disruptive, or unsafe. The guest violates any laws or tour policies. The guest fails to meet physical or eligibility requirementsNo refund will be given in such instances.

 

9. Limitation of Liability & Hold Harmless

We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Participation is at your own risk. We are not liable for injuries or incidents arising from your personal health conditions, negligence, or failure to follow instructions. You agree to hold harmless Untold DC Tours and its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates from any liability, claims, or damages arising from your participation in the tour.

 

10. Dispute Resolution – Mediation

All disputes related to these Terms or your participation in our tours shall first be submitted to good faith mediation in Washington, DC, before any court or arbitration proceedings may be initiated.

 

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

 

12. Agreement to Terms

By booking a tour, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions.
